Color palette
We chose to use black and white in the logo, as it can be a great choice for many reasons. It offers a timeless, versatile, and professional look that can be easily adapted to various applications. The combination of black and white exudes elegance and classic appeal.
Central Sunstone Motif
The most prominent element is the central sunstone-like face. This directly references the name “Ηλιόπετρα,” which means “sunstone” in Greek. Sunstones were believed to possess magical properties and were associated with the sun and its energy. The choice of this element emphasizes the energy and renewal that the sun provides, linking the logo to power and authenticity.
Aztec Influence:
The stylized sunstone face with its intricate details and geometric patterns draws inspiration from Aztec sunstones. The geometric designs and details give a sense of antiquity and spirituality, while linking the logo to ancient traditions and cultural heritage.
Owner's brief
The owner requested a black and white logo, based on the Aztec sunstone. The choice of these stark colors enhances the sense of classicism and timelessness, while still maintaining the connection to the Aztec cultural heritage.
